TYPES OF DOWSHOWS
COMPETITIONS: do not bring into play points for the championship of Spain, but can serve for the championships of the autonomous communities. It is a good way to start for beginners.
COMPETITIONS MONOGRAPHIC: they are specific to a breed and they do not put at stake points for the championship of Spain but for championships organized by the clubs of breed.
MONOGRAPHIC: are specific to a race and in them is at stake the C. A. C. (Certificate of Fitness for the National Championship). Have an annual basis.
NATIONAL: is at stake the C. A. C.
INTERNATIONAL: is at stake the C. A. C and C. A. C. I. B. (Certificate of Fitness for the International Championships).

QUALIFICATION
EXCELLENT: they are given to those dogs very close to the standard ideal of the breed, very well presented, whose temperament is balanced, with excellent attitude and characteristics typical of her sex. These features excellent make small imperfections can be ignored.
VERY GOOD: They are given to those dogs with the main characteristics of their breed, that are balanced in their proportions and that they are in good physical condition. It can tolerate some minor.
GOOD: They are given to those dogs with the main characteristics of their breed but that present imperfections.
SUFFICIENT: They are given to those dogs that adequately reflect their breed, but that does not have the characteristics generally accepted, or whose physical condition is not good.
DISQUALIFIED: they are given to those dogs that do not correspond at the rate set by the standard, denoting conduct unbalanced or aggressive, which have abnormalities, testicular dental defects or jaws, which have imperfections of color and coat (see "eliminating faults" in the standard for the breed).


PARTICIPANTS:
participants who reside in Spain must be registered in the L. O. E (Book of Origins Spanish). The not residing in Spain must submit a photocopy of original pedigree, recognized by the F. C. I. (Federation Cynologique Internationale) together with the registration.

CATEGORIES:
Each copy can participate in a single category. In those in that age is flap, will be the owner who will decide in that category you want to participate your dog.
CLASS VERY PUPPIES: for puppies of 3 to 5 months ( only in some special dogshows or monograph of the breed).
PUPPY CLASS: for dogs over 5 months and under 9 months.
CLASS YOUNG: for dogs over 9 months and under the age of 18 months.
CLASS WORK: for dogs over 15 months that have received at least a "good" in a test of hunting approved by the FCI or RSCE (Real Sociedad Canine Spain). The winner of this category compete for the CAC - CACIB and RCAC (book CAC) - RCACIB with the two best classified classes Open and Intermediate.
INTERMEDIATE CLASS: for dogs over 15 months and under the age of 24 months. The winner of this category compete for the CAC - CACIB and RCAC - RCACIB with the two best classified classes Open and Work.
OPEN CLASS: compulsory for dogs over 24 months and voluntarily from the 15 months. The winner of this category compete for the CAC - CACIB and RCAC - RCACIB with the two best classified in the middle classes and Work.
CLASS CHAMPIONS: for dogs that possess the title of Champion of Spain or in another country. In this category only opts for the CACIB AND RCACIB.
If you look at the age of different categories we will see that the 5 to 15 months we have no option of choosing category to the register a dog. From the 15 months and up to 18, we have the option to enroll in three different categories (young, intermediate and open), and 18 to 24 months we have two options (intermediate and open). From the 24 months we only have the open class.
In the end can also compete in class COUPLES, LOT OF CRIA, BEST PLAYER, BETTER VETERAN. In these categories can participate all dogs they want, provided that they are enrolled in any of the main classes.

DEVELOPMENT OF AN DOGSHOW
Generally tend to follow this order:
PUPPIES MALE: the maximum rating is very good 1st
PUPPIES females: the highest rating is very good 1st
BEST BREED PUPPY: dispute between the best puppy male and the best puppy female. The winner has the obligation to stay until the end, the Better Puppy Group or Better Puppy dogshow (B. I. S. PUPPIES).
YOUNG MALE: the highest rating is excellent 1st and is expected to be judged the rest of the categories to compete for the best of breed.
YOUNG FEMALES: the highest rating is excellent 1st and it waits to be judged the rest of the categories to compete for the best of breed.
INTERMEDIATE MALE: the highest rating is excellent 1st and is expected to be judged the rest of the categories to compete for the CAC, CACIB and Best of breed. The qualified with excellent 2th also compete for the RCAC and RCACIB.
INTERMEDIATE FEMALES: the highest rating is excellent 1st and is expected to be judged the rest of the categories to compete for the CAC, CACIB and Best of breed. The qualified with excellent 2th also compete for the RCAC and RCACIB.
OPEN MALE: the highest rating is excellent 1st and is expected to be judged the rest of the categories to compete for the CAC, CACIB and Best of breed. The qualified with excellent 2th also compete for the RCAC and RCACIB.
OPEN FEMALES: the highest rating is excellent 1st and is expected to be judged the rest of the categories to compete for the CAC, CACIB and Best of breed. The qualified with excellent 2th also compete for the RCAC and RCACIB.
WORK MALE: like open males.
WORK FEMALES: like open females.
CHAMPIONS MALE: the winner of this category compete for the CACIB and Best of breed, in the event that is an international dogshow. In the national only compete for the best of breed. The second classified compete for the RCACIB.
BEST OF BREED: competing copies qualified with excellent 1st in class youth and CACIB, in the case of international dowshow. If it is national, compete the qualified with excellent 1st in class young people and the CAC.
The who obtains the rating of BEST OF BREED, wait to compete in the end of the group to corresponds by breed (Pyrenean Mastiff: Group 2. Jack Russell Terrier: group 3º)
